5 Years Later, Tokyo Revengers Is All Set For Its Finale With a Major Update

Five years after the anime’s debut, Tokyo Revengers is all set to release its final season and conclude Takemichi’s journey. The anime released its previous season to adapt the Tenjiku Arc in October 2023, and following the long wait, the final season is closer than ever. The anime is based on Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine manga, written and illustrated by Ken Wakui. The series has one of the most controversial endings of all time, but even the brutal criticism didn’t diminish its popularity at all. The manga reached its conclusion in 2022, and the anime is finally set for its finale with a new season titled Tokyo Revengers: War of the Three Titans Arc.

The upcoming season is listed as part of the Fall 2026 lineup. With the release date closer than ever, the official X handle of the anime confirms details on the ending theme song. Titled “Tricskter,” the ending theme song will be performed by go!go!vanillas, a popular pop-rock band in Japan. The band hasn’t performed many anime themes, but it’s fairly famous for the ending theme song in Sakamoto Days Part 2. Earlier in July, the official X handle also announced that JO1 will be performing the opening theme song “IGNITE.”

The anime will be released on October 2nd, 2026, and it’s expected to premiere on Crunchyroll, where you can find the previous seasons as well. Additionally, Hulu is also streaming the anime, but it has yet to share any details on when the third season will be available on the platform. The episode count will be revealed after the anime’s return. Not only that, but the cast and crew from previous seasons will be returning for the final season, along with new members to voice the new characters.

Following the final season’s announcement, the anime also revealed four new characters along with their voice actors. The new lineup includes Takeomi Akashi (Naoyuki Shimozuru), Wakasa Imaushi (Shinnosuke Tachibana), Keizo Arashi (Takanori Hoshino), and South Terano (Hiroki Yasumoto).

The story will pick up from where the previous season left off. Following the brutal battle in the Tenjiku Arc, things finally seemed to have returned to normal. Tetta Kisaki has finally been dealt with, but the present only continues to worsen due to other major threats. Everyone seems to be happy on the surface, but Mikey is left to deal with his inner demons all by himself. The Tenjiku Arc ended with Izana Kurokawa taking bullets meant for Kakucho from Kisaki and dying after informing Mikey about his fabricated blood relation to Shinichiro.

This left a deep scar in Mikey’s heart, and he is forced to make a decision that’s going to change everything. The final arc is not only controversial, but way more intense than the story has ever been. The anime will adapt the Bonten Arc and the final arc, which is divided into two parts: Three Dieties and Kanto Manji. Takemichi will once again travel into the past, this time not for Hinata, but for one of his closest friends.
