Sure, there have been popular shows with mature casts through the decades, from The Golden Girls to Grace and Frankie, but The Boroughs turns aging stars into bona fide superhero-like characters, giving them storylines traditionally reserved for younger actors, and bucking every expectation of what they can and can’t do.
