Thinking of dumping your job, apartment, and daily grind for an adventurous van life on the road? Passenger drives that dream off a cliff and into a ravine of generic horror tropes. Ostensibly intelligent characters become willing lambs to the slaughter without a drop of common sense or self-preservation. There is a smattering of jump scares, so the minimum fright box gets dutifully checked, but a contrived and sluggish narrative defangs any consistent terror.
