A Year of Free Comics: Falling for the bad guy is complicated in BE MY VILLAIN

Is Shadowmaker really a villain or just misunderstood?
Love is a tricky thing, isn’t it? You can’t help who you fall for, even if that person is a supervillain. In Be My Villain, Mills doesn’t expect an encounter with the elusive Shadowmaker. He certainly doesn’t expect a date out of it.
With story and art by mintibi and edited by Bre Boswell, the romance-superhero webcomic centers on Mills, an average high school senior who happens to have two super-agent dads who face highly dangerous criminals on the regular. Mills finds himself caught in an attack on the city and decides to follow in his dads’ footsteps to save a helpless victim. But when his superparents’ arch-nemesis, Shadowmaker, shows up and saves his life, Mills wonders if there is more to the bad guy than he initially thought. And what do you even make of this so-called villain asking you out?
The new series is a fun mix of genres. Superhero, sci-fi/tech, and a little love all come together for a modern, coming-of-age tale. Be My Villain updates every Friday on Webtoons and only has three episodes up at the time of this writing. It’s the perfect time to catch up, so click here!
