Jujutsu Kaisen is now hard at work on making its comeback for Season 4, and it’s teasing some big fights coming in the new episodes with the first story synopsis for the next half of the Culling Game. Jujutsu Kaisen made its highly anticipated return for Season 3 of the anime earlier this year, and with it took on one of the most chaotic arcs of Gege Akutami’s original manga with a deadly new tournament introducing a ton of new fighters and their respective abilities. But it unfortunately left things off on a huge cliffhanger.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4: The Culling Game Part 2 is, like the title suggests, going to pick up right after that cliffhanger finale from the third season, and with it adapts the next major phase of the deadly tournament. The first story synopsis for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4 has now been revealed on the anime’s official website, and with it gives fans a much clearer look on what kind of fights are coming in the new season and who specifically is going to be thrown into the action with teases for Hakari, Panda, Maki and more.
“As their respective stories intersect, the Culling Phase enters a new phase,” the synopsis for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4 teases. “At the same time, Hakari and Panda head to
Tokyo 2 in search of Kashimo, who possesses 100 points.” That’s not only teeing up their fight, but also makes sure to include a reference to Maki as she, “destroys the Zenin family and heads off somewhere.” It’s also sure to include Choso and Yuki Tsukumo, as they are currently guarding Tengen. While the final tease showcases that “Sukina is plotting something…in the Culling Game, the chaos of curses continues to evolve.”
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4: The Culling Game Part 2 has been dropping some big hits about Sukuna and whatever grand plan that he has in the works. From the release of the very first teaser to the launch of the newest key visual, the anime has been making sure that despite all of the chaos of the Culling Game, fans remember that Sukuna is lying in wait to enact whatever plan he has in the works. And there’s already tons for Yuji and the others to juggle heading into what’s next.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4: The Culling Game Part 2 has unfortunately yet to confirm a release window or date as of the time of this writing, but it seems to be making steady progress towards its debut. The voice cast is set to return to reprise their respective characters, but any new voice cast additions have yet to be revealed as of this time. Much of the production staff behind it has yet to be confirmed either as it’s only been revealed that Takeru Sato will be directing the new episodes for studio MAPPA.
The biggest tease of all of this has been Sukuna’s role in it all. While it’s yet to be revealed what kind of plan he has for Yuji (and potentially Megumi Fushiguro as he’s been alluding to all along), it’s clear that it’s not even a part of whatever Kenjaku has planned for the Culling Game. It’s going to be a lot of chaos unfolding at once, so make sure you catch up with Jujutsu Kaisen now streaming with platforms like Crunchyroll and Netflix in the meantime.
