New Grand Theft Auto Mod Merges GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas in Stunning Fashion

While the world awaits Grand Theft Auto VI, many players are still playing previous games. Grand Theft Auto V is still going strong today thanks to its online mode, but many players still love the classic games. Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas were some of the most beloved games of their time. Rockstar Games’ remake wasn’t as successful as one might have expected, but the community has not given up. Fans have continued modding the games, expanding on the content or enhancing the original games.

Many of these mods are impressive, making the games feel like modern entries. To this day, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City remains my favorite, but I have enjoyed jumping into many of the classics. And now, thanks to the fan base, a new mod allows you to jump into all three games in one sitting. Rather than simply bundling the games together as the remake did, the project connects all three worlds through functioning portals, creating a seamless experience that celebrates Rockstar Games’ legendary trilogy while showcasing what dedicated modders can accomplish.

This new Grand Theft Auto mod links the worlds of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas through interactive portals. Players can travel between Liberty City, Vice City, and the state of San Andreas without launching separate games, making the three adventures feel like parts of a much larger world. You can even shoot through the portals and affect the other worlds without stepping through.

While the stories remain separate, the ability to move between each game’s map is an impressive technical achievement. The project highlights just how active the Grand Theft Auto modding community remains years after Rockstar Games originally released these titles. Fans have spent decades expanding the trilogy with graphical upgrades, restored content, gameplay improvements, and entirely new experiences, but this crossover stands out for bringing all three classics together in a fresh way.

The mod also serves as a reminder of how influential the original 3D trilogy remains. Grand Theft Auto III revolutionized open world design in 2001, Vice City built on that foundation with its unforgettable 1980s-inspired atmosphere in 2002, and San Andreas expanded the formula even further in 2004 with a massive world, RPG mechanics, and one of the franchise’s most beloved stories.

As excitement continues to build around the series’ future, projects like this demonstrate that there is still plenty of enthusiasm for Rockstar’s earlier games. Whether players are revisiting Claude’s journey through Liberty City, Tommy Vercetti’s rise in Vice City, or Carl Johnson’s return to Los Santos, the new portal system offers a creative way to experience these legendary adventures from a different perspective.
