Developer CD Projekt Red has today pushed out a surprising new update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. At the end of 2022, the long-awaited next-gen upgrade for The Witcher 3 was finally released for those on PS5 and Xbox Series X. And while this update led to many fans returning to the popular RPG once again, CD Projekt has now let loose another patch that should improve the title even more.
As of today, update version 4.02 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has started to roll out. This patch brings a number of improvements to all versions of the game across PC and console. For the most part, this update primarily looks to bring about many fixes to lingering bugs in addition to improving “the overall stability and performance of the game.” As such, no sweeping alterations have been made to The Witcher 3 on a gameplay front, which isn’t necessarily a shock.
