A new Starfield update has been released today, November 20, by Bethesda and via Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. Alongside this update, Bethesda Game Studios, specifically, has provided the patch notes for the update, which in turn reveal and detail everything the update does. Most notably, the update comes with a major new feature: NVIDIA DLSS support, which unfortunately is only pertinent to PC players. There is another new feature added with the update though that is not PC-specific involving consumables.
While we know everything the update does via the patch notes below, we don’t have any information about the file size of the update on PC or Xbox consoles, which means the only insight we can offer on how long it may take to download that there isn’t any new content, which should help keep the file size down.
NVIDIA DLSS SUPPORT
This update introduces Nvidia DLSS support for our PC players. Compatible Nvidia graphic cards can now use DLSS Super Resolution, Deep Learning Anti-aliasing (DLAA), Nvidia Reflex Low Latency, and DLSS Frame generation.
LET THEM EAT!
By popular request, we have added the ability to ingest food and drink items upon finding them in the environment. You can enjoy those Chunks immediately or save them for later. The choice is yours.
